About the event
This retreat will involve a mix of play and fellowship when we meet at Our Lady Star of the Sea on Friday August 2nd at 4:30 p.m. We will carpool together to the Lower South Fork Skokomish River, which is about a 1.5 hr drive. The hike is beginner friendly, and it will take us to a splendid portion of the skokomish river, giving us solitude, privacy, and beauty. A more detailed horarium will be given on the day of the retreat, but so that you can be more prepared, here is a general overview of the weekend. Friday: Arrive, Drive, and Hike to our camp site Saturday: Day of Silence & Solitude begins after morning prayer and ends after vespers. Sunday: An hour or so of Silence & Solitude begins after morning prayer. Due to recent mass changes, we are uncertain if we will be able to attend an evening mass as usual since Our Lady Star of the Sea will no longer have a 5:00 p.m. mass. We are currently looking for a priest to attend and say mass with us.
